UX Designer/ Lead

Location: San Francisco, CA
Job # 10648108
Hi,
Our client is looking for a Design Lead in San Francisco, CA.
I was hoping to talk to you more on this, could you please advise on a time to call or call me back at a good time please?

Title:                     Full stack UX designer/ lead
Location:             San Francisco, CA
Duration:            4+ months
Start date:          ASAP

Description:
Our SaaS client is looking for a senior designer in the enterprise support experiences area. The support experiences are geared towards a varied personas base (IT admins, Marketing Professionals, Partners, etc.) and span broadly across the client’s product/cloud offerings. The role requires a full-stack designer who will take hands-on responsibility of the experience strategy, interaction design, visual design (based on an established design system), and final pixel perfect delivery to engineering. This means that you will bring your systems thinking as well as solid design execution skills to the table. As a designer, you will gain deep understanding of the problem space, and depict a cohesive point-of-view expressed through design presentations and prototypes. Your strong strategic design skills enable you to effectively negotiate minimal viable and valuable experiences for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Framing the Problem:
    • Identify user needs through various internal inputs such as customer support and user research as well as external competitive benchmarking
    • You synthesize insights from multiple sources into user experience goals, translating that into UI experiences that appropriately correctly balance user and business needs.
  • Sketching and Prototyping:
    • Be comfortable sketching your ideas, sharing your rough ideas with stakeholders and other designers and non-design stakeholders.
    • You are comfortable creating design prototypes (low or high-fidelity) to demonstrate interactions that are testable by users.
  • Collaboration with Engineers and Product Managers:
    • Work in cross-functional teams by bringing a user-centric point of view to the table.
    • Engage with multiple stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and other designers to iterate on your concepts and make your ideas a reality outside of design presentations.
    • Collaboration helps you work through hairy problems without creating over reliance on engineers or product managers to define your UX work.
  • Seeking User Feedback:
    • Gathering feedback early and often
    • Actively involved in testing your own designs - either directly with consumers or indirectly through user researchers
    • Participate in peer design critiques to give and receive critique.
  • UX Leadership and Accountability:
    • Take ownership of the design and all associated deliverables on the project that you lead.
    • Think end-to-end about customer experience even though you might be designing for a part of that entire end-to-end experience.
    • Proactive in looking for the next set of strategic UX problems and are proactive about creating a vision to solve for the same.
    • Contribute and lead design visions for new product and service ideas.
    • Must be articulate and persuasive about best practices in UX design.

Required Skills:
  • 7-9 years of experience working in interactive design or UX roles (Must include link to portfolio)
  • Demonstrable track record of success in designing and shipping real-world products.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational experience.

If you are unavailable at this time or this is not a good fit, I would really appreciate if you could pass the details along to a friend that may be interested.

Please feel free to call or email if you have any questions,

Thanks and Regards,
