Continuous Operation Tester

Responsibilities 
  • Charge robots before/between runs
  • Flash robot to known build (this is not a current requirement but it could be in the future)
  • Accompany robot on runs throughout RLS at a safe distance
  • Record metrics during runs
    • Disturbances
    • User reactions
    • Desks approached/cleaned
  • Record issues noted during runs
  • When robot has low power, swap battery
  • When robot fails, put in trolley and return (may involve heavy lifting)
  • Extract and upload logs from robots (runs overnight)
  • File bugs for issues found
  • Log metrics
  • Hours: 8:30am - 6pm
  • 1 hour for breaks and meals
Requirements for the above:
  • Download builds, use flashing tools
  • Access to docs for logging metrics
  • Access to buganizer, email, Google documents, Proxy internal tools
  • Android flashstation access
  • Hardware to access corp
Weekly SLA per person in the team:
  1. Engage with the robots for at least 32.5 hours per week.
  2. File bugs and check emails no more than 5 hours/week.
  3. Attend the daily huddle or other product related meetings for no more than 3 hours per week.
  4. The operators should be onsite during working hours 8:30am-6pm and 1 hour for breaks and meals.
  5. Time off should be approved by Client's manager 1 week in advance, unless an emergency. An email should be sent to eTouch/Virtusa manager notifying them of your planned time off.
  6. There is no working from home required for this role.
